small crochet doll pattern

SMALL CROCHET DOLL




This project is starting from a magic ring and its (almost) all one piece. Hands are made separately. I like my projects to be all one piece because then i have less sewing to do. Also, it makes it a lot easier.

And i used two types of yarn. Thicker for the body and thinner for the outfit. 


 I would not recommend this project to beginners!

So here it is:

MR- Magic ring

sl st- slip stitch

sc- single crochet 

dc - double crochet

inc- increase

dec- decrease

icord - icord

ch - chain


You will need :

3mm crochet hook 

Pink yarn (for the body) 

Brown(or black, yellow,...) yarn for the hair

2mm crochet hook

Pink and blue yarn (for outfit) 

Thread (to embroider the face) 

Needle 

*You can use different types of yarn, but then your doll will be different size. 

Body: (dimensions : 14cmx4,5cm) 


R1: in MR - sc 6 (6)
R1: inc all around (12)
R2: sc inc all around (18) 
R3: sc2 inc all around (24) 
R4-R11: sc all around (24) 
R12: sc2 dec all around (18)
R13:sc dec all around (12)
R14: dec all around (6)
R15: sc all around (12)
R16: sc inc all around (18)
R17: sc all around(18)
R18: sc6, ch 2, skip 3, sc6, ch2, skip 3
R19-R29: sc all around
R30: sc6, ch 1, sc in parallel stitch to make holes for legs
FO and wave in ends

Hands: (make two) 
Set an icord 
(this part is a little difficult to describe, so here is a video a video) 


(this is not my own video, this is from Sweet softies. I love her so much and her tutorials are best, and that is why i used it.) 

 ch3 to start, insert hook into 2nd ch from, YO, pull up a loop, insert hook into next ch, YO, pull up a loop (3 loop on hook)
R1: drop 2 loops, YO, pull trough loop on your hook,insert hook into first dropped loop YO, pull trough. insert hook into second dropped loop, YO, pull trough
R2-R12: repeat R1 
FO leaving a long tail for sewing
Put in a hole you made earlier and sew in place


Legs: (make two) 

Go back to the body and start crocheting around 
R1-R9: sc all around 
R10: sc, dec
R11 :dec 
FO



Hair :
Repeat first 3 rounds from body. 
R4:*ch 15, sl st in 2nd ch from the hook, sl st 13, sl st in last sc in ring* (repeat x11)  ch8, sl st in 2nd ch from the hook, sl st in next 7 ch, sl st in last sc in the ring, *ch 5, sl st in 2nd ch from the hook, sl st in next 3 ch, sl st in last sc in the ring* (repeat x11) ch 8, sl st in 2nd ch from the hook, sl st in next 7 ch, sl st in last sc in the ring
FO and wave in the end. 

Sew on a doll 

Embroider the face.

Your doll in done! You can sew outfit, or make your own pattern, or you can keep following my pattern to make a dress:

Dress: (using both pink and blue yarn and thinner hook) 
R 1: ch25, sc in first chain, ch 2, dc all around 
R 2: sl st in first dc, sc2, sc all around
R 3: repeat R2
R 4: sl sc in first dc, ch1, inc all around
R5: sc all around
*repeat until you reach the desiered lenght 

Go back up and add 7 ch for each strap.



You can add few more details, if you want, like bow or scarf, its up to you!

Little turtle free crochet pattern

 LITTLE TURTLE FREE CROCHET PATTERN Also available on  Ravelry  This pattern is designed for begginers. Its very easy and FREE! I used 3mm hook, but i think i will also make obe with 7mm, just for fun. I used lanoso alara yarn. It uses minimal amount, its super for using up your scraps.
